Basketball Recap: Polson Comes Up Short

Polson lost against Columbia Falls back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Polson Pirates received a blow as they fell 56-39 to the Columbia Falls Wildcats.

Despite the loss, Polson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hinkley Moss went 6 for 11 on her way to 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Moss also set a new season-high mark in shooting accuracy with 55%. Aleysia Black was another key player, putting up five points and six assists.

Polson now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Columbia Falls, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

Polson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 71-50 defeat against Ronan on the 1st. As for Columbia Falls, they have also already played their next contest, a 71-54 loss against Browning on the 31st.
