Hillcrest had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Sheffield Knights by a score of 8-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Sheffield is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5-1.

Coming up, Hillcrest will head out on the road to challenge Memphis East at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Sheffield, they will be playing at home against Overton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season.
