Maumelle hadn't done well against Greenbrier recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Hornets walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Panthers. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 4-0 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2019.

The victory made it two in a row for Maumelle and bumps their season record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Greenbrier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maumelle will face off against Greene County Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenbrier, they will square off against Morrilton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
