Elkhorn faced Elkhorn North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Antlers came out on top against Elkhorn North by a score of 8-5. For the Antlers, this counts as revenge for the 11-3 win Elkhorn North walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Elkhorn let Slade Waggoner and Elliot Beister run wild. Waggoner went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI, while Beister went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That's the most runs Beister has posted since back in April of 2024. Bostin Oster was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Elkhorn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Elkhorn moved to 6-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Elkhorn North, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-2 record.

The timing isn't great for the Antlers: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Titans have snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. Meanwhile, Elkhorn North will face off against rival Millard South at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
