Skyline and Mesa are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Coyotes are taking a road trip to face off against the Jackrabbits at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Skyline and five for Mesa.

Skyline came up short against Red Mountain on Tuesday, falling 21-1.

Meanwhile, Mesa lost 17-1 to Gilbert on Monday.

Leah Alcala made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Isom, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.

Everything went Skyline's way against Mesa in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Skyline made off with an 18-11 win. Will the Coyotes repeat their success, or do the Jackrabbits have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
