Football Game Preview: Palmer Ridge Bears vs. Montrose Red Hawks + How To Watch

The Palmer Ridge Bears will challenge the Montrose Red Hawks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are still undefeated after 12 games, but that won't be the case come Saturday.

Palmer Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They took down Broomfield 45-27.

Palmer Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zak Crisler, who picked up 80 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown. Crisler showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 67 yards. Cole Harris was another key player, rushing for 67 yards and one TD on only nine carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Palmer Ridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 321 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Montrose humbled Monarch with a 56-27 victory. Considering the Red Hawks have won ten contests by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Montrose's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Palmer Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 12-0.

Palmer Ridge barely slipped by Montrose when the teams last played back in August of 2023, winning 28-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
