Basketball Game Preview: Menominee Maroons vs. Peshtigo Bulldogs

The Menominee Maroons are taking a road trip to challenge the Peshtigo Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Menominee is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Marquette just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by the Redmen and fell 73-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Maroons have suffered against the Redmen since February 7, 2020.

Meanwhile, Peshtigo didn't have quite enough to beat Oconto on Tuesday and fell 53-50. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now lost five in a row.

Menominee suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 5-5. As for Peshtigo, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Everything went Menominee's way against Peshtigo when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Menominee made off with a 63-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Menominee since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
