Northwest won the last time they faced Tuscumbia and things went their way on Saturday too. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Mustangs made off with a 45-44 win over the Lions. The 45-point effort marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory got Northwest back to even at 4-4. As for Tuscumbia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Northwest and Tuscumbia will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Mustangs see the court they'll take on Wellington-Napoleon at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2026. As for Tuscumbia, their break will end when they face Conway at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026.
