Softball Recap: Allen Park Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Lyon East on Thursday, Allen Park came back down to earth. The Jaguars came up short against the Cougars on Thursday, falling 8-1. The contest marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Allen Park saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexa Hawrot, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Allen Park's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for South Lyon East, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Allen Park will welcome Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Lyon East, they will face off against Walled Lake Northern at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
