Lejeune and Southside are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Devil Pups will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Seahawks at 4:00 p.m. Lejeune is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Lejeune fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Jones on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 10-5 to the Trojans.

Alexis Soriano made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Kadence Gordon was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Southside fell victim to Pamlico County and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 19-0 to the Hurricanes. The Seahawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Lejeune, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lejeune has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .475. However, it's not like Southside struggles in that department as they've averaged .458. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Lejeune was able to grind out a solid victory over Southside when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 7-4. Will the Devil Pups repeat their success, or do the Seahawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
