The Nouvel Catholic Central Panthers will venture away from home to  challenge the Hemlock Huskies  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Nouvel Catholic Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 30.8  points per game  this season.
Nouvel Catholic Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have   all season. They blew past Carrollton 58-6  on Friday. With the Panthers ahead  51-0 at the half, the  matchup was all but over already.
It was another big night for  Owen Vance, who rushed for 131 yards and three  scores on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.  Parker Kingsbury made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
 Nouvel Catholic Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Kingsbury and  Vance. Kingsbury got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 Meanwhile, Hemlock fell victim to Ithaca and their airtight defense  on Friday. They were beaten by the Yellowjackets 44-0. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 77th).
 The  win made it two in a row for Nouvel Catholic Central and  bumps their season record up to 4-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 20  points in those games. As for Hemlock, their loss was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-4.
 Everything came up roses for Nouvel Catholic Central against Hemlock in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, as the  team secured  a  42-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
