Soccer Game Preview: Madison East vs. Verona

Madison East hasn't had much luck against Verona recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Purgolders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Madison East will be strutting in after a win while Verona will be coming in after a defeat.

Madison East barely beat Madison La Follette the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Purgolders never let the Lancers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for Madison East as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Verona was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Madison West by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to Verona's undefeated start to the season.

The victory got Madison East back to even at 4-4. As for Verona, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
