Football Recap: Rolesville Gets the Win

After only ten points in their last contest, Rolesville made sure to put some points up on the board against Richmond Senior on Friday. The Rams took down the Raiders 38-20. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Amir Brown was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 115 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anthony Roberts, who picked up 88 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 16 points in total. All came from Riley Daniels: he went 5-for-5 kicking field goals for 15 points and added another on an extra point kick.

Rolesville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Richmond Senior, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Rolesville and Corinth Holders will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. This will be the Rams' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Richmond Senior, they will head out to square off against Northwest Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
