Baseball Recap: Caledonia Comes Up Short

Caledonia managed to slip by Amory the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Caledonia Cavaliers lost 10-4 to the Amory Panthers on Saturday. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Carson Gorum was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Trevor Dennis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Caledonia now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Amory, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caledonia will host Louisville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caledonia is facing Louisville at the right time seeing as Louisville is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Amory, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers duke it out with the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
