Soccer Recap: Grand Prairie Comes Up Short

Grand Prairie was the 3-1 winner over Sam Houston when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Grand Prairie Gophers lost 3-0 to the Sam Houston Texans on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Gophers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while the Texans are ranked 95th).

Grand Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-4. As for Sam Houston, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2-3.

Coming up, Grand Prairie will be playing in front of their home fans against Arlington at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grand Prairie is facing Arlington at the right time seeing as Arlington is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sam Houston, they will head out to square off against Martin at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
