Basketball Recap: Verden Comes Up Short

Verden won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were beaten by the Binger-Oney Bobcats 73-33. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Verden has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Binger-Oney, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Verden will be home for the holidays to greet Maud at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Binger-Oney, they will head out on the road to challenge Geary at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Binger-Oney knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Geary likes a good challenge.
