            Volleyball Recap: McMahon Senators vs. St. Joseph Cadets        
        
		
        
        
            McMahon was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They fell  3-1 to the St. Joseph Cadets. The Senators were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Cadets from their previous meeting  back in October of 2024.
 McMahon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-17, 25-23,  25-18.
 St. Joseph's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Sarah Lovett led the charge by  getting 20  kills, two  aces,  and one  block. Those  20  kills gave  Lovett a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Lilly Kugit, who  had 32 assists and two  aces.
McMahon's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Joseph,  the  victory  got them back to even at 8-8.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McMahon will  challenge  rival Warde  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, St. Joseph is set to  square off against  their familiar foe New Canaan  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
