Volleyball Game Preview: Hamilton Big Blue vs. Fairfield Indians

Hamilton hasn't had much luck against Fairfield recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Big Blue will be taking part in a tournament against the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Fairfield took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hamilton, who comes in off a win.

Hamilton barely beat Cincinnati Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Big Blue put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Big Blue in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Fairfield didn't have quite enough to beat Oak Hills on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Fairfield took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-18, 14-25, 25-19, 15-12.

Hamilton will have to contain Peyton Smith as she made an impact in Fairfield's last game. She had 21 digs and three aces. Smith is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Hamilton's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Hamilton skirted past Fairfield 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September. Do the Big Blue have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
