Soccer Game Preview: Salem Hills vs. Wasatch

Salem Hills hasn't had much luck against Wasatch recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Skyhawks will challenge the Wasps at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Salem Hills beat Timpview 4-2. Salem Hills haven't had any issues with Timpview recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Salem Hills hit Timpview with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brooks Barker (2), Colin Torgersen, and Keller Beck.

Meanwhile, Wasatch came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Aviators get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. Wasatch might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by three goals or more this season.

Wasatch pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those seven games. As for Salem Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Salem Hills suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Wasatch in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Skyhawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
