Softball Recap: Morton Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Morton had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Galesburg Silver Streaks an 11-0 shutout on Friday. The Potters have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Silver Streaks, too.

Morton's victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Galesburg, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morton will venture away from home to challenge East Peoria at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Galesburg, they will head out to take on Rock Falls at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
