Baseball Recap: Marquette Takes a Loss

Marquette's last matchup with Gladstone could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Thursday. The Sentinels lost 15-5 to the Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 last Thursday.

Marquette is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8. As for Gladstone, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marquette will square off against Calumet at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gladstone, they will challenge Iron Mountain at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in the Braves' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Mountaineers have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
