Preview: Patriot Warriors vs. Ramona Rams
Patriot is 8-2 against the Rams since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Patriot Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Ramona Rams at 6:30 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Patriot pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 79-59 defeat at the hands of Arlington. While losing is never fun, Patriot can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 824th, while the Lions are ranked 188th).
Meanwhile, Ramona took a serious blow against the Braves on Tuesday, falling 82-46. Ramona was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-21.
Patriot are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-17. As for Ramona, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.
Patriot strolled past the Rams when the teams last played back in January by a score of 68-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Patriot since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
