Volleyball Recap: Hickory Ridge Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against A.L. Brown on Thursday, Hickory Ridge came back down to earth. The Ragin' Bulls came up short against the Weddington Warriors on Monday, falling 3-0. The Ragin' Bulls haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

While Hickory Ridge was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17, 25-17.

Mackenzie Vander Kolk paced Hickory Ridge's offense, picking up seven kills. Vander Kolk got some help from Eliana Whittaker and her ten assists. Isabella Jackson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Hickory Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Weddington, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Hickory Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Harding University on the 7th. As for Weddington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Piedmont on the 7th.
