Basketball Preview: Falcon Falcons vs. The Classical Academy Titans
Falcon is 6-1 against the Titans since February of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Falcon Falcons will head out on the road to face off against The Classical Academy Titans at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Falcon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
Falcon unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak. They took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sierra.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Eric Graham, who scored 16 points along with two steals and two blocks. Jeramiah Potts was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, The Classical Academy entered their tilt with the Gladiators with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. The Classical Academy came out on top against the Gladiators by a score of 48-38 on Saturday.
Falcon's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4. As for The Classical Academy, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7.
Falcon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Titans when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 64-59 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Falcon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
