Football Recap: Flanagan Extends Winning Streak to Three

Flanagan put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 28-6 margin over the Fort Lauderdale Flying L. The Falcons pushed the score to 28-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Flying L's cut but never quite recovered from.

Chance Humphrey looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 221 yards and three TDs.

Flanagan's defense stepped up as well, laying out Marquise Russ. nine times. Travis McGill led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself. Jahmar Williams is crushing it when it comes to sacks: he's posted at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Flanagan got some further help from Chessmann Coby Jr: he picked up a sack and made five total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Flanagan's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Fort Lauderdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Flanagan and Fort Lauderdale will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Falcons are set to square off against their familiar foe West Broward at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fort Lauderdale will challenge rival Monarch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
