Baseball Recap: Old Bridge's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After flying high against Seton Hall Prep on Saturday, Old Bridge came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Monroe Township Falcons by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Knights have suffered since April 3rd.

Brody Nugent made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Old Bridge moved to 9-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Monroe Township, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 3.6, the Barrons 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Monroe Township will challenge rival St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
