Volleyball Recap: Monarch Comes Up Short

Monarch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Mountain Empire Redhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-16.

Monarch's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Mountain Empire, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Monarch has already played their next match (against Gompers Prep Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mountain Empire does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
