Crescenta Valley and Saint Joseph squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Crescenta Valley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Jesters by a score of 3-2. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Crescenta Valley sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 19-25, 25-15, 16-25, 15-13.

Crescenta Valley's loss dropped their record down to 24-13. As for Saint Joseph, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-16 record this season.

Crescenta Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saint Joseph, they will challenge Flintridge Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
