Football Game Preview: Union Hill Bulldogs vs. Chester Yellowjackets

The Union Hill Bulldogs will take on the Chester Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Union Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past Avalon to the tune of 94-60. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Ej Mowery was his usual excellent self, rushing for 260 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 228 yards and five TDs while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in August. Payton Dunn was another key player, picking up 84 receiving yards and three scores.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 17 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Mowery, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after only one point in their last game, Chester made sure to put some points up on the board against Coolidge on Friday. Chester blew past Coolidge 52-6. Chester's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Union Hill's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Chester, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
