Soccer Game Preview: Marana vs. Mountain View

The Marana Tigers will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Mountain View Mountain Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marana will be strutting in after a victory while Mountain View will be coming in after a defeat.

Marana's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Sabino. Austyn Cameron had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble the Tigers got from the refs.

Sydney Clare and Peyton Sharp scored both of Marana's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Mountain View's offense. They lost 8-0 to Mica Mountain on Monday. The Mountain Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Marana, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Marana beat Mountain View by a goal in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 2-1. Will Marana repeat their success, or does Mountain View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
