Recap: Frankenmuth Eagles vs. Goodrich Martians

After flying high against the Carrollton Cavaliers on Tuesday, the Frankenmuth Eagles came back down to earth. Frankenmuth fell 54-44 to Goodrich on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Frankenmuth has scored all season.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carson Knoll, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Knoll has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Thomas Conzelmann was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.

Frankenmuth's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-3. As for Goodrich, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frankenmuth will take on Linden at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Linden will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 476th, while Frankenmuth is ranked 78th). Goodrich will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against De La Salle Collegiate at 5:15 p.m. on December 30th.
