Baseball Recap: Linton-Stockton Takes a Loss

Linton-Stockton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Shakamak Lakers, falling 9-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Miners of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Linton-Stockton's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Shakamak, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.

Looking ahead, Linton-Stockton will head out on the road to face off against North Knox at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shakamak, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bloomfield at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lakers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
