Appalachian Christian School waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They enjoyed a cozy 68-51 victory over the United Christian Academy Crusaders. Given the Trailblazers' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Crusaders are ranked 404th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Appalachian Christian School's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for United Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Appalachian Christian School will venture away from home to square off against Boys' Home at 2:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for United Christian Academy, they will challenge Temple Christian at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
