River Islands had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Turlock Christian on Tuesday. The Riptide put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Riptide as they're now sitting on eight straight.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-20, 25-5.

Milyn Morales paced River Islands' offense, picking up eight kills. Morales got some help from Corley Simoni and her 14 assists. Ada Morales controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

River Islands' win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Turlock Christian, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

River Islands wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Millennium on the 25th. As for Turlock Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Ben Holt College Prep Academy on the 25th.
