While Marbury might've come up empty on Tuesday, Elizabeth Woodfin wasn't going down without a fight. Woodfin wasn't messing around, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up six earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). The pitching appearance was her eighth straight with two or fewer walks.

Woodfin and Marbury will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Alabama Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st.
