Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 71-61 to the Huron Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cavaliers of the 71-55 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1. As for Huron, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will challenge Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. on February 1st. As for Huron, they will square off against Watertown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Huron is facing Watertown at the right time seeing as Watertown is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
