Basketball Recap: Manchester Takes a Loss

Manchester pushed their score to 49 the last time they played Grass Lake, but on Tuesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Manchester Flying Dutchmen were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 1-0 to the Grass Lake Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Flying Dutchmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 600th, while the Warriors are ranked 83rd).

Manchester has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which is still a better percentage than their 4-13 record this season. As for Grass Lake, the win keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manchester will square off against East Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grass Lake, they will challenge Michigan Center at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Michigan Center is on a eight-game streak of home wins, Grass Lake a ten-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
