Baseball Preview: Ponderosa Mustangs vs. Vista Ridge Wolves
The Ponderosa Mustangs will face off against the Vista Ridge Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Ponderosa's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Vista Ridge has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
While Ponderosa's victory against Loveland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Red Wolves on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Red Wolves: they've now won three in a row.
Nick Moe looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
