Basketball Game Preview: Hackensack Comets vs. Ridgewood Maroons

Hackensack is 0-10 against Ridgewood since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Comets are taking a road trip to face off against the Maroons. Ridgewood took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hackensack, who comes in off a win.

Two weeks ago, Hackensack humbled Kennedy with a 52-22 victory.

Meanwhile, Ridgewood lost to Immaculate Heart Academy at home by a 54-37 margin on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Maroons' undefeated start to the season.

Hackensack now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ridgewood, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Hackensack came up short against Ridgewood in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, falling 49-36. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
