Basketball Recap: South Williamsport Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

South Williamsport and North Penn-Mansfield squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but South Williamsport had to settle for second. They lost 61-36 to the North Penn-Mansfield Tigers. The Mountaineers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Andy Hermansen was a one-man wrecking crew for North Penn-Mansfield as he went 5-for-10 on his way to 14 points in addition to six steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave Hermansen a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Davis, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 13 points along with six steals and five assists.

South Williamsport's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for North Penn-Mansfield, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

South Williamsport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Penn-Mansfield, they have already played their next matchup, a 61-36 win against Warrior Run on the 20th.
