Volleyball Recap: Riverwalk Academy Takes a Loss

Riverwalk Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Lee Central Stallions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stallions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 27-29, 25-19, 25-18.

Cadence Ruppe paced Riverwalk Academy's offense, picking up 14 kills. Ruppe got some help from Kayla Silver and her 16 assists. Silver was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Riverwalk Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Lee Central, their win ended a five-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Riverwalk Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Midlands STEM Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lee Central will face off against rival Great Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
