Baseball Recap: San Jacinto Christian Academy's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

San Jacinto Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Kress Kangaroos a 9-0 shutout.

Sy Potter made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Jon Cruz was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Matthew Richard was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

San Jacinto Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, San Jacinto Christian Academy will challenge Clarendon at 4:30 p.m. on February 25th. As for Kress, they will be taking part in a tournament against Muleshoe at 11:30 a.m. on February 27th.
