It was a good run, but Old Forge unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to the Holy Cross Crusaders 61-56. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 66-63 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Old Forge's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for Holy Cross, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Old Forge and Holy Cross should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Old Forge (ranked 76th) will meet Lakeland (ranked 446th) at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Holy Cross will square off against Mid Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday up 208 places (34 vs. 242).
