Basketball Recap: Pebblebrook Comes Up Short

Pebblebrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 55-31 to the Hillgrove Hawks. The Falcons lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 70-21 score last time.

Kierra Jackson was a one-woman wrecking crew for Hillgrove as she went 7 of 16 on her way to 20 points and five steals. Jackson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Harris, who posted ten points and six steals.

Pebblebrook's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Hillgrove, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Pebblebrook will head out to face off against Salem at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hillgrove and Woodstock will compete for holiday cheer at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
