Pymatuning Valley is 7-2 against Harding since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Pymatuning Valley Lakers will host the Harding Skippers at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pymatuning Valley is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Maplewood just ended the team's 12-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 43-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rockets.

Defeat or not, Pymatuning Valley got some senior leadership from Jolene Sharpe and Kelsie Britton. Sharpe posted two points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Britton scored eight points. Mae Struna was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, Harding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 63-34 defeat at the hands of St. John. One positive for the Skippers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Pymatuning Valley will have to contain Jana Vale as she made an impact in Harding's last game. She had 12 points. Another player making a difference was Ella Adams, who earned eight points and eight boards.

Harding's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Pymatuning Valley, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.

Everything came up roses for Pymatuning Valley against Harding when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 53-16 victory. Does Pymatuning Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harding turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
