Basketball Game Preview: Waxahachie Indians vs. Lancaster Tigers

The Waxahachie Indians will take on the Lancaster Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Waxahachie was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-53 to Skyline. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Raiders are ranked 487th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Eddie Williams, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Christian Brown, who went 5 for 9 en route to 15 points.

Meanwhile, Lancaster entered their tilt with Mesquite on Friday with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. They strolled past the Skeeters with points to spare, taking the game 76-61.

Lancaster is also on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Waxahachie, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-12.
