Baseball Recap: Cohasset Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hull last Thursday, Cohasset came back down to earth. The Skippers lost 9-2 to the Abington Green Wave on Monday. The Skippers have struggled against the Green Wave recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Cohasset saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Sweet, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Sweet's first of the season.

Cohasset's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Abington, their record is now 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cohasset will challenge rival East Bridgewater at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Abington is set to take on their familiar foe Norwell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Green Wave 3, the Clippers 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
