Josey extends home losing streak to 15

Recap: Josey Eagles vs. Putnam County War Eagles

This season hasn't been kind to the Josey Eagles, who are still winless after their 11th match. They fell 67-54 to Putnam County on Tuesday. Josey has not had much luck with Putnam County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Putnam County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Messiah Walker led the charge by scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Walker scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylin Harper, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Josey's defeat was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-11. As for Putnam County, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.

Josey will look to defend their home court on Friday against Westside at 7:30 p.m. Westside is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. Putnam County on the road again on Friday and play against Laney at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th.
