Baseball Recap: Kenedy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kenedy can now relate to. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Schulenburg Shorthorns on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Shorthorns this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-1 loss on Thursday.

Daniel Pena made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs. Another player making a difference was Rayden Renya, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Kenedy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-11 record this season. As for Schulenburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12.

As of now, neither Kenedy nor the Shorthorns have any future games scheduled.
