While West didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Ben Lomond Scots on Tuesday as the West Panthers made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on six straight.
West got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 33-31, 25-18.
Moli Togia paced West's offense, picking up ten kills. Togia got some help from Sebastian Bejarano and his 15 assists. Bejarano was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.
West pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ben Lomond, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
West has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against West Jordan on the 12th. As for Ben Lomond, they will face off against Utah Military Academy - Hill Field at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Ben Lomond's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
